
"Annie Jr." will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30 and Saturday, Dec. 1 at Jonathan Dayton High School’s Halsey Hall Auditorium, 135 Mountain Avenue, Springfield.
The production will be performed by Florence M. Gaudineers’ middle school students; under the direction of Ms. Ashley Madison and Ms. Stephanie Shack.
"Annie Jr." tells the story of a spunky Depression-era orphan determined to find her parents, who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan. In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations, befriends President Franklin Roosevelt and finds a new family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students, teachers and seniors. They can be purchased at the door at 7 p.m. the night of the shows or by e-mailing sscheckman@springfieldschools.com.
