Bergen County Task Force Nabs Alleged Marijuana Dealers

Two men from River Edge charged, authorities say.

Three men, including two from River Edge, have been charged with distributing ounces of marijuana, authorities said Friday.

River Edge residents Zachary Garry, 19 and Joseph Delguercio, 20, along with Reagen Owimrin, 21, of Saddle Brook, were charged after a month-long undercover investigation, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said in a news release.

The investigation began in late January following Garry's sale of one ounce of marijuana to an undercover detective in the Bergen County Narcotic Task Force in River Edge, authorities said. Similar transactions took place towards the very end of January and again in mid-February, authorities said.

Following a fourth transaction on Feb. 23, Garry was arrested and a search warrant was executed at his residence, Molinelli said. During the search of the residence, both Delguericio and Owimrin were found to be in possession of two ounces of marijuana and placed under arrest, the prosecutor said.

A consent to search was then executed at Owimrin's residence in Saddle Brook, where detectives seized $1,384, authorities said.

Garry and Owimrin were charged with two counts of distribution of a controlled substance: one count for a quantity of one ounce or more but less than five pounds of marijuana and a second count of distribution within 500 feet of a park.

Delguericio was charged with one count of possession with the intent to distribute and one count of distribution within 500 feet of a park.

Garry is potentially facing additional charnges for distribution of marijuana to an undercover detective before the Grandy Jury, Molinelli said.
