Brief Storm Causes Flooding in Teaneck
Up to 500 customers were without power, according to PSE&G website.

Heavy rain and thunderstorms hit the Teaneck-area Monday afternoon, leading to flooding and at least one temporary road closure.
Flooding forced police to block Teaneck Road, near Route 4, around 4:15 p.m. The roadway was later reopened after a vehicle was removed from the high water.
Windsor Road, under Route 4, also experienced flooding.
Skies were clear shortly after the blast of stormy weather hit, but the National Weather Service issued a flood advisory for the area until 5 p.m.
Limited power outages were reported around Bergen County, with up to 500 customers out in Teaneck, according to a utility company outage website.
In Bergenfield, police reported a lightning strike near borough hall knocked out phone service to the building. Emergency calls and police radios were not impacted.

The National Weather Service forecast for the days ahead:
Late Afternoon: Isolated showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 76. Northwest wind around 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 56. North wind between 9 and 11 mph.
Tuesday: Isolated showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 78. Northwest wind between 14 and 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 59. Northwest wind between 6 and 11 mph.
