Teaneck Show to Benefit Injured Service Members

Queen Anne Road venue and restaurant will host a benefit show next week to raise money for injured members of the armed forces, event organizers announced.

According to the show’s presenter, 100 percent of money raised from the July 25 show will go to the Wounded Warriors Project. Wounded Warriors raises awareness and supports injured service members.

“This is a cause that we all hold dear to our heart and cannot wait to create a memorable evening that benefits the brave men and women who serve our nation,” Robal Johnson of PUMP Sessions, the show’s presenter, said in a news release.

The Wounded Warrior Project began in 2003 by a group of veterans and friends who were moved to action after hearing stories from service members returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. The project works to help transition members of the armed forces back into civilian life.

"The Wounded Warrior Project is an amazing charity and we are honored to put on this charity concert event,” Johnson said. “We have all experienced these wars on a personal level and this is our way of giving back. This is the first of many to be held around the tri-state-area.”

Initiatives include mental health, physical rehabilitation and support for families, according to the group.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. with the first show beginning at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online.
