TOMS RIVER, NJ — Route 9 is closed in both directions in Toms River on Monday afternoon after a crash that brought down a utility pole, authorities said.

The closure is from Silverton Road to Riverwood Road, the Ocean County Sheriff's Office said in an alert.

The utility pole is blocking both lanes, according to the state Department of Transportation's 511nj.org.
