Drinking Water Testing Labs In Toms River Bought By Larger Firm

TOMS RIVER, NJ — A pair of Toms River-based water testing laboratories have been bought by a New York company, which has announced plans to expand its services and its staff.

York Analytical Laboratories purchased Precision Testing Labs and Precision Analytical Services, which are located on Whitesville Road, on Jan. 23, York officials announced.

Precision Testing Labs is expert in ground water and soil analyses with robust licensing by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. Precision Analytical Services is the largest New Jersey laboratory specializing exclusively in drinking water analyses and sampling services.

Both laboratories will continue to operate from the existing facility on Whitesville Road, York officials said. The company is expanding at the site, with construction under way on space for new PFAS and soil characterization laboratories.

The acquisition makes this the first full-service New Jersey laboratory for York, which operates in New York and Connecticut, doubling the size of its drinking water operations.

Precision Testing Labs, led Bandeira, the co-founder and laboratory director, gives York the expertise and physical space needed to expand York’s PFAS testing operations.
