Filmmaker Seeks Football Photos, Video Of 1969 Toms River Games
Filmmaker Sandra Levine is working on a documentary about the 1968-69 Toms River football team. Here's what she needs and how you can help.
TOMS RIVER, NJ — Toms River filmmaker Sandra Levine is seeking the help of football fans for her latest documentary.
Levine, who has produced documentaries on the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy in Ortley Beach and on Toms River South baseball coach Ken Frank, is working on a documentary about the 1969 Toms River football team.
Before Toms River North and Toms River East existed, Toms River South was the Toms River high school, and its football program was strong year after year.

Levine said she is in the process of editing the documentary, but she is still searching for film and and photos of the following:
- The 1969 Toms River vs. Bayonne game in Bayonne, especially the impromptu celebration after in Toms River.
- 1969 Toms River vs. Middletown game, especially the fight after the game and the band playing the national anthem.
- The radio broadcast by WJLK or WOBM of the 1969 Toms River vs. Middletown game.

- Toms River locker rooms in the old Grade School. 4 different colored jerseys: white, green, maroon, blue.
