Lane Shifts, Closures Expected on Bey Lea Through Friday
Other road projects are ongoing in Toms River

Nighttime lane shifts and closures are expected to continue on Bey Lea Road through Aug. 9 as Ocean County construction crews complete work on a section of the roadway.
The project, which includes milling and overlay work on Bey Lea from Lomell Lane/Intermediate Way North to Hooper Avenue, began on July 22 and should finish this Friday, according to Freeholder Director John P. Kelly.
Additional traffic and detours are possible, according to the county.

Other projects ongoing in Toms River include:
- The continued rehabilitation of the Schencks Mill Bridge on Route 571 at Toms River’s border with Manchester could bring lane shifts and closures through Aug. 9 between Commonwealth Boulevard and Whitesville Road, according to the county.
- Lane and shoulder closings are possible at the Garden State Parkway overpass at Indian Head Road are possible until further notice as widening and reconstruction work is completed, according to the county.
- Lane size will be reduced and shoulders will see closures as the parkway overpass at Church Road is widened and reconstructed. The project does not have a specific end date, according to the county.
- Likewise, Old Freehold Road at the parkway will see lane shifts and reduced lane widths until further notice while overpass widening and reconstruction work is completed, the county said.
