Person Whose Body Was Found Floating In Toms River Identified

The cause of death is pending the results of toxicology tests, authorities said.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Authorities have identified a man whose body was found floating in the Toms River on Friday evening.

Julian Lopez-Martinez, 45, of Lakewood, was found in an area behind Point O' Woods Drive, Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said Tuesday.

Toms River police officers removed his body from the water, he said.

An autopsy performed by the Ocean County Medical Examiner's Office found no signs of trauma to Lopez-Martinez's body, Billhimer said.

"The cause of death is pending toxicology results," he said. "The death of Mr. Lopez-Martinez does not appear to be suspicious at this time."
