Memorial Day Parade Marches Monday in Toms River

Parade kicks off at 9:30 a.m. and concludes with ceremony at town hall

Toms River will honor those who gave their lives serving in the Armed Forces with a Memorial Day parade. 

Beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, May 27, the American Legion Post 129 of Toms River will host a parade through the township's downtown.

"The public is invited to join us as we honor the veterans who died while serving in the Armed Forces," the township said in a statement.

The parade route begins in front of The Office Restaurant and Lounge and will march south on Main Street before turning left on to Washington Street. A ceremony will be held on the front porch of town hall, according to officials. 

Expected to be in attendance are Mayor Thomas Kelaher, members of the Township Council and Congressman Jon Runyan.
