TOMS RIVER, NJ — When the owners of Pisces Seafood & Restaurant announced they were retiring after 45 years in business, fans of the restaurant were saddened, seeing it as the end of an era.

The new owners, however, see themselves as simply starting a new chapter.

Less than a week after announcing the business had been sold, the Kurzynowski family revealed the name of the new owners: Capital Gains Holding LLC, based in Pine Beach, according to New Jersey business registry records.

The seafood market has a new name — Ocean Fresh Seafood Market and Dining. But the name is the only significant change, according to updates on the Pisces Seafood page.

"New owners same delicious fresh seafood, same chef, and Guy is still here serving all of your needs," the post said.

Guy is the nephew of the Kurzynowski family, the family said. "Plenty of the staff" were remaining under the new ownership as well, they said.

"We wish the entire team the best going forward and know that the Toms River community will continue to show the support we received for the last 45+ years. Pisces is in phenomenal hands going forward and we are so excited to see what this group does in the future," the family said.

Ocean Fresh will have its fresh seafood market open Tuesday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. ahead of Thanksgiving, and will be open Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. with the kitchen open those nights from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. They will be closed on Thanksgiving.
