Tex Mex Restaurant Set To Join Ocean County Mall Lineup

TOMS RIVER, NJ — On the heels of the opening of P.F. Chang's restaurant at the Ocean County Mall, there is another eatery that is anticipated to join the lineup at the mall this summer, officials said.

On The Border, which offers a Tex Mex menu of fajitas, tacos, burritos, enchiladas, along with margaritas, chips, salsa, guacamole and tortillas, is anticipated to open in July in Restaurant Row, said Erin Barbato, a spokesperson for Simon, which owns Ocean County Mall.

On The Border infuses its menu offerings with mesquite, native to the area where the restaurant chain first opened in 1982 in Dallas, Texas, and has 136 locations around the country.

It is slated to be part of the portion of the mall that has been dramatically updated over the last few years, after the closure of Sears, one of the mall's original anchor stores, gave way to a full renovation. The north end of the mall, in addition to P.F. Chang's, is home to Turning Point, Ulta Beauty, Five Below, Sweetwater’s Coffee & Tea and HomeSense.
