The cancellation comes as the township is faced with questions about the demolition of a home at 554 Clifton Ave., a site that township officials plan to turn into a park and playground.

Work at the site has been shut down, and as of Saturday tarps covered several areas of the property. In addition, signs warning of asbestos at the site were posted, along with fencing to contain asbestos contamination and warnings that people should stay out of the site.
