Toms River Woman Killed in Massachusetts Crash Identified

Massachusetts man charged in the fatal Sunday morning crash

The Toms River woman killed in a wrong-way Massachusetts Turnpike has been identified, and the man accused of causing the crash faces driving while intoxicated and motor vehicle homicide by negligent driving charges.

The victim, identified as 66-year-old Toms River resident Kathleen A. Borngesser, was traveling along the Massachusetts Turnpike when a driver going the wrong way struck her vehicle at about 4:30 a.m. Sunday and caused a three-car crash, according telegram.com.

Dwayne A. Blackman, 33, of Leominster, Mass., was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or .08 percent and with motor vehicle homicide by negligent driving, according to the report.

Authorities said that Blackman was driving about 80 mph while traveling the wrong direction. His license had expired a month prior to the crash, according to telegram.com
