West Earl Court Burglary Under Investigation
Jewelry was taken from the home Friday afternoon, according to police

A Friday morning burglary at a West Earl Court residence is under investigation by Toms River police.
An unidentified amount of jewelry was taken from the home during the 11 a.m. incident last week, according to Chief of Police Michael Mastronardy.
Police are looking for a white male in his 20s with a thin build wearing blue jeans and a blue flannel shirt, the chief said.

A witness said the man entered the home's backyard and exited carrying a brown paper bag. Access to the home apparently was gained through a rear sliding door, according to Mastronardy.
He then walked to nearby Batchlor Street and was picked up by a "small black compact car," Mastronardy said.

Officers Ron Karkovice and Chris Leighton are investigating. Anyone with information can contact Toms River police at 732-349-0150.

Landscaping tools valued at $800 were reported stolen from a worker's trailer while completing a job on Todd Road Friday.
The Landscaping Designs employee said that someone stole a red May Tool industrial blower and red weed whacker at 11:30 a.m. Friday, worth a combined value of $800, Mastronardy said.
Officer Samantha Sutter is investigating the theft, the chief said.
