TOMS RIVER, NJ — Toms River officials are urging residents to move their vehicles off their neighborhood streets ahead of a winter storm that is anticipated to drop up to 4 inches of snow in northern Ocean County.

Ocean County is under a winter weather advisory, issued by the National Weather Service Mount Holly office. The forecast issued at 6 a.m. Sunday is calling for the snow to begin early Monday morning and continue throughout the day.

"Toms River’s Division of Roads is preparing all Township roads and you can help by clearing your vehicles from the streets to allow for snow plows to pass," township officials said.

Snow accumulation is expected across New Jersey south of Interstate 195, the weather service said. Winds are expected to stay below 20 mph throughout the storm, the forecast said.
