Coach Indicted on Charges of Sexually Assaulting Teen in Kinnelon
John L. Baio allegedly sexually assaulted 15-year-old he was mentoring.

A 64-year-old New York man was indicted last week in Morristown court on charges of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old he was mentoring in Kinnelon, according to nj.com.
John L. Baio, of Verplanck, N.Y., was arrested a year ago in March 2012 at his home about 54 miles from Kinnelon. Kinnelon police said Baio was not living in the borough at the time of the alleged incidents, but that the officers were alerted to the events by an unrelated incident Baio was not charged on.
Baio was a go-kart coach hired by the teenage boy's family, according to nj.com. The teenager would assist with races and stay in hotels with Baio when they were on the road, the sexual activity beginning in the hotel rooms.
