Luring Incident Unproven In Kinnelon, Police Say

KINNELON, NJ — Kinnelon police say they are aware of a possible luring attempt in the town, but have been unable to confirm it took place.

The possible luring attempt happened at the Kinnelon Mall, police said. A parent told police that a woman in her 50s approached their two children and said, "You look tired, do you want to sit in my car?" The parent said the woman had brown hair and was smoking a cigarette outside the mall.

No police report was filed, police said; the complainant just wanted the incident on the record.
