Cedar Grove Cub Scouts Honor Pack Members
Blue & Gold Dinner honoring leaders, Scouts and parents was held March 4.
On March 4, the Cub Scouts of Pack 2 Cedar Grove held their annual Blue & Gold reception at VFW Post 6255 in Cedar Grove to honor and recognize members of the pack.
According to Scouting.org, the Blue and Gold reception is an annual event that sometimes serves as a monthly pack meeting where leaders, Scouts and parents are thanked for having helped the pack. Often, packs invite former members and other Scouting or community leaders to take part in the banquet.
At the reception this year, 47 Scouts earned their rank badges and were recognized. In addition, nine boys earned the highest level of recognition in Cub Scouts — the Arrow of Light. These boys became Boy Scouts.
More than 165 people attended the reception and dined on a dinner catered by Anthony Franco’s. For dessert, BatchMakers provided a special, custom flavor called Super Scout Swirl.
