High School Music Department Travels to Europe

Cedar Grove youth spend Spring Break touring, performing in Germany, Austria and Hungary.

The Cedar Grove High School Music Department — choir, band and orchestra — spent their Spring Break traveling through Europe.

During the April 6-15 trip, the group visited Germany, Austria and Hungary. While there, the students performed in churches, a school, a community center and a synagogue in Munich, Salzburg, Vienna, Baden, and Budapest.

In addition, the students visited Mozart’s house, the Dachau concentration camp, the Mondsee "Wedding Church" — where "The Sound of Music" was filmed, the Hallein Salt Mines and Neuschwanstein Castle.

Costs for the trip were paid by students and parents.
