Historic Houses Decked for the Holidays

Nine sites around the county open their doors next weekend.

History buffs, take note: nine historic Essex County sites throw their doors open to the public next weekend. Each will be decked out in holiday finery, showcasing past glory and present decor.

Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. announces the 2nd Annual Essex County Historic Holiday House Tour. The self-guided house tour will be held Saturday, December 11th and Sunday, December 12th.

"Essex County is rich in history and architecture. Take a break from the hustle and bustle this December and visit seven local homes that will have decked the halls in holiday extravagance for one spectacular weekend. Tour historic Essex County with your friends and delight in the elegance of the season," DiVincenzo said.
