Patch: Tell us a bit about your business or organization:
Jacques Hryshko: Family Connections is a leading New Jersey non-profit that delivers services to children, adults, and families facing many of life’s toughest challenges. We change lives with a wide range of programs to counter trauma, mental illness, addiction, domestic violence, child abuse, and more.

Patch: How long have you been doing business in town?
Jacques Hryshko: Family Connections has been serving the Northern NJ community for 145 years.

Patch: What attracted you to the line of work you’re in, and how did you get started?
Jacques Hryshko: Far too many people and families in our communities struggle with serious challenges—from trauma and mental illness to addiction, domestic violence, and child abuse. Family Connections is here to make sure no one has to face these obstacles alone. We deliver a wide range of services across Northern New Jersey, including counseling, social and emotional skills-building, prevention and training initiatives, programs to strengthen family bonding and reunify families, and more.

Patch: What's the most common piece of advice you give to customers?
Jacques Hryshko: Healing is a journey and Family Connections is here to support you on your own journey.

Patch: What’s the most satisfying part of your job?
Jacques Hryshko: Hearing the incredible stories of our program participants and how Family Connections was able to support them in reaching their goals.
