Meet the Mayors Breakfast Saturday in West Caldwell
Event is free but advanced registration is required.

The annual Meet the Mayors Breakfast hosted by the Millburn-Short Hills, North Essex Regional, Cedar Grove and Livingston Chambers of Commerce and the League of Women Voters of the Montclair area will take place on Saturday, March 24, at 9 a.m., at Crane's Mill, 459 Passaic Ave., in West Caldwell.
Essex County Executive Joseph DiVincenzo will give the opening remarks.
“Over the last five years, we have experienced very challenging economic times that have changed the way governments deliver services," DiVincenzo said in a release, adding, "Discussions like these are necessary to share information with the public and raise awareness about what is being done on the county and local level to address rising property taxes and improve our residents’ quality of life."

Other speakers will include Verona Township Manager Joseph Martin and Cedar Grove Township Manager Tom Tucci. The morning's topics will include consolidation of municipalities and municipal services, the status of Council on Affordable Housing requirements, and the prospect of real property tax relief.
Mayors from Montclair, Verona, Cedar Grove, Essex Fells, Roseland, Fairfield, Caldwell, West Caldwell, North Caldwell, Nutley, Bloomfield, Clifton, Little Falls, Glen Ridge, West Orange, Livingston and Millburn-Short Hills are invited to the breakfast. Guests will have the opportunity to and are encouraged to network with Chamber members and local officials.

“This a rare opportunity for League members, business people, politicians and others to come together to hear about our common concerns,” stated Helen Faulkner of the League of Women Voters of the Montclair Area.
Everton Scott, Regional Public Affairs Manager at PSE&G, a co-sponsor of the event, stated, "PSE&G strongly encourages dialogue between local officials and residents on issues of common interest."
