Memorial Day Parades, Blood Drive, Hilltop Family Bike Ride This Week
A look at the week ahead and what stories Patch plans to cover.

Here are some of the stories we're working on and what's happening this week in Verona and Cedar Grove. See you around!
Monday is Memorial Day. Municipal offices and schools are closed in Verona and Cedar Grove.
The annual Verona Township Memorial Day Parade will step off on Monday, at 10 a.m., from Everett Field. A ceremony will be held immediately following the parade in the Verona Civic Center.

The Cedar Grove Memorial Day Parade begins at Cedar Grove High School at noon and travels down Rugby Road, makes a left onto Bowden, and then a right onto Pompton Avenue. The parade will then travel down Pompton Avenue to Little Falls Road, where it will make a right and continue down to the entrance to the park.
The Verona Board of Education will meet Tuesday at 8 p.m.

The Verona Rescue Squad will hold a blood drive Friday, from 3 to 7 p.m., at 12 Church St. Donors will receive a $10 gift card to ShopRite.
The Hilltop Conservancy will lead a family bike ride at Hilltop Reservation on Saturday, from 9 to 11 a.m. The goal of the ride is to introduce a safe cycling area to families.
