Operation Take Back a Success

78 pounds of unused, unwanted and expired medications turned by residents to Cedar Grove police.

The Cedar Grove Police Department collected 78 pounds of pharmaceuticals as part of Operation Take Back New Jersey last Saturday.

Police officials said 40 people took part in the program, which allows residents to properly dispose of their unused, unwanted and expired medicine.

The collected medicines were turned over to the federal Drug Enforcement Agency for safe destruction.

Police officials were grateful to everyone who participated in the program.
