Police Blotter: Gray Land Rover Driver Sought

The following information has been provided by the Cedar Grove Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

March 29: Cedar Grove police are investigating a hit-and-run accident that injured a 63-year-old Little Falls woman near the intersection of Ridge Road and Haller Drive on Thursday.

The investigation revealed the first vehicle, a 2008 Lexus, was southbound on Ridge Road when the second vehicle, also southbound, rear-ended the Lexus at around 4:37 p.m. and fled the scene — continuing south on Ridge Road.

Using witness descriptions and debris left at the scene, police were able to determine the second vehicle was a dark grey Land Rover.

Police searched the area, but were unable to find the car.

The woman sustained a back injury in the crash and was transported to Mountainside Hospital for treatment.

Anyone with information on the Land Rover is asked to contact police at (973) 239-4100.
