Shaving event on March 10 brought out 41 participants.
On March 10, the Cedar Grove Elks held their 5th annual fundraiser for the St. Baldrick's Foundation for pediatric cancer research.
The Elks reported 41 people turned out to be shaved and they raised $28,000 in donations, with several thousand dollars in further pledges expected to come in.
The five-year total now stands at over $141,000 for kids with cancer.
The 41 participants included three Cedar Grove police officers, three students from the West Orange High School hockey team and 11 students from the Montclair High School Crew Team.
Several shavees raised additional donations by raffling off their mustaches and beards.
