State Farm Awards CGHS for Football Play

Team wins $2,500 as part of biggest moments from high school football season.

State Farm Insurance Companies recently awarded Cedar Grove High School $2,500 as part of Friday Night Feats, a national video contest highlighting the biggest moments from the high school football season.

Cedar Grove High School is one of only 52 schools in the country and only one of 4 in the Northeast to be recognized for this award. The winning videos were determined by fan votes on FridayNightFeats.com.

The winning video featured the Panthers attempting a field goal to tie a game. The field goal attempt was blocked, but the football was recovered by a Panthers player before it touched the ground and run into the end zone for the game-winning touchdown.

“It was one of those amazing high school football moments that you’ll never forget,” said Panthers Coach Ed Sadloch. “I am proud of the entire team and coaching staff.”

“State Farm is all about being there for life’s big moments,” said State Farm Agent Gary Laglia. “Friday Night Feats is a way for State Farm to recognize the hard work and effort of high school students and help turn their big plays into big moments for their school.”
