Verona Church Set For Oktoberfest 2016 Fundraising Event

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ - Join Our Lady of the Lake (OLL) School and Parish when they present their seventh extraordinary Oktoberfest on Oct. 8. The annual event will take place under the "Tent" on OLL's blacktop located at 26 Lakeside Avenue, Verona, NJ from 6 to 11 p.m.

According to a news release, Oktoberfest is one of the largest events held in the Township of Verona. The night unfolds under a 17,000 square foot tent, where more than 1,600 guests between the ages of 21 and 90 come together for OLL's rendition of Germany's annual festival and fair. Attendees are entertained to the sounds of a German Umpah Band, feast on traditional German fare, taste a variety of ales from local brewers, dance the night away and win raffle prizes.

According to organizers, Oktoberfest continues to play a major role in building and strengthening the OLL community. Proceeds from the event benefits the youth and children of the school, parish, numerous ministries and community initiatives.
