Fourth of July Fireworks, Reorganization Meetings, Holiday Closings This Week
Fireworks scheduled for Monday night in Verona and Tuesday in Cedar Grove.

Fourth of July festivities begin Monday with fireworks at Verona High School. Cedar Grove will mark the holiday with fireworks on Tuesday at Cedar Grove High School.
The Verona Board of Education will meet Monday in the Verona High School Media Center at 7 p.m. Public session will begin at 7:30 p.m.
The Cedar Grove Council will hold its Reorganization Meeting on Monday at 7 p.m. Council members Joseph Chiusolo, E. Romeo Longo and John Zunic will be sworn-in and a Mayor and Deputy Mayor will be selected.
Verona will hold its Council Reorganization Ceremony Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. on the steps of Town Hall, 600 Bloomfield Ave. Bob Manley, Kevin Ryan and Jay Sniatkowski will be sworn in as Council members. A new Mayor and Deputy Mayor will also be elected. If it rains, the ceremony will be moved to the Verona Community Center, 880 Bloomfield Ave.
Verona and Cedar Grove town offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday for the Fourth of July.
