Whitehorne Middle School Students Participate in Fundraiser

Jump rope-a-thon held for American Heart Association.

Students at the H.B. Whitehorne Middle School in Verona recently participated in a rope-jumping fundraiser for the American Heart Association.

Students in fifth-, sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade jumped rope to show support for their own heart health and their role in saving countless lives because of their efforts.

Last year, the school was ranked number 1 in the state, raising $34,729 to support lifesaving research and programs of the American Heart Association.

In addition, the school was ranked number 9 in the country out of more than 30,000 schools participating in the program. 

Through March 28, the school has raised $38,529.42 to support the work of the American Heart Association.
