• Require a gas unit to add 90 MW of batteries to renew its air permit, group says (pv-magazine-usa.com) — A clean-energy advocacy group is urging New Jersey regulators to require Calpine’s gas-fired plant in Vineland to add a large battery storage system as a condition for renewing its air permit, aiming to cut local pollution. The proposal argues battery storage is technically and economically feasible and could significantly reduce ozone-forming emissions that currently burden Vineland residents.
