Wall Target Employee Caught ‘Upskirting’ Customer Had Child Porn: Cops

David I. Sutton, who was previously arrested for pointing his phone up a Target customer's skirt, is now facing child pornography charges.

WALL, NJ — A Lakewood man arrested for pointing his phone up a female Target customer’s skirt is facing child pornography charges, Wall Police said.

David I. Sutton, 20, of Lakewood, has been charged with possession of child sex abuse material (child pornography) and lewdness, according to police.

Sutton was first arrested on Aug. 28 when management of the Target he was previously employed by on Route 35 found him pointing his cell phone up a female customer’s skirt.

Once police arrived at the Target, Sutton ran away but was chased and arrested by Patrolman Shane Roland. Sutton was then charged with invasion of privacy, obstruction of the administration of justice, and harassment.

After Sutton was arrested, Wall Police Detective Ty Hughes, who is also assigned to the Monmouth County Internet Crimes Against Children task force, searched Sutton’s phone and found a large amount of child pornography, police said.

A search of Sutton’s house on Lanes Mills Road in Lakewood was conducted on Tuesday by the Wall Township Police Department, with help from the Lakewood Police Department’s Special Response Team, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Computer Crimes Unit and the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Internet Crimes Unit.

Sutton is currently being held at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, where he’s awaiting his first court appearance and detention hearing.
