New Video Released Of Wall Hit-And-Run Incident; Police Seek Public’s Help

Wall Police are seeking the public's assistance to find the driver who struck a lawnmower before fleeing the scene in early December.

WALL, NJ — Wall Township Police have released new information in a recent hit-and-run incident and are seeking the public’s assistance to help identify the driver.

On Monday, Dec. 8, at 10:58 a.m., police said a driver was traveling west on Ocean Road (toward Baileys Corner/Samuel Dr.) when their vehicle struck a commercial lawnmower, ejecting the 34-year-old operator.

Following this incident, police said the driver fled the scene, and the victim was treated for a concussion and other injuries. As of Tuesday morning, police said the victim has since been released from the hospital.

Through surveillance footage, police said investigators have identified the suspect vehicle as a 2018-2023 Subaru Crosstrek in the color “Cool-Gray Khaki” (light blue/gray hue) that likely has moderate front-end damage.

To help find the suspect in this incident, police are asking residents to share this video and reach out if you recognize the vehicle or know of a similar Subaru with recent front-end damage.

Area residents and businesses are asked to review their cameras from Dec. 8, around 11 a.m.
