Wall Township Committee Chooses Tim Farrell As Mayor For 2023

Wall Committee chooses new mayor, deputy mayor; makes appointments at reorganization meeting.

WALL, NJ — At its reorganization meeting for 2023, Committeeman Tim Farrell was chosen as mayor and Committeewoman Erin Mangan was chosen as deputy mayor.

The other members of the governing body are Committeeman Kevin Orender, Committeeman Timothy J. Clayton and Committeeman Dan Becht.

The opening prayer was given by by Fr. William Lago of Saint Denis Church, Manasquan.

Township Clerk Roberta Lang read the official results of the General Election held on Nov. 8, in which former mayor Kevin P. Orender received 8,206 votes and Timothy J. Clayton received 8,059 votes.

Orender and Clayton, Republicans, were not challenged in the election. Lang administered the oaths of office to Orender and Clayton.

Assemblyman Sean Kean, R-Monmouth, administered the oath of office of to Mayor Farrell; Monmouth County Clerk Christine Hanlon administered the oath of office to Deputy Mayor Mangan.

The committee approved resolutions making professional appointments and naming members of township boards and commissions. The list of appointments can be located here.
