Wall Township Public Schools Seek To Fill School Board Vacancy

A seat has opened on the board after a current school board member resigned, district officials said. See details:

WALL, NJ — The Wall Township Public School District is seeking applicants to fill a vacancy on the Board of Education, the district recently announced.

The vacancy is a result of Board Member James Brereton’s resignation from the board, district officials said.

Brereton has served on the board since January 2025, but resigned due to personal reasons that preclude him from being able to devote the time necessary to effectively serve as a board member, according to the district.

Interested applicants should submit a letter of interest and a resume to Business Administrator & Board Secretary Brian J. Smythe at bsmyth@wallpublicschools.org. Applicants should put “Board Vacancy” in the subject line.
