Wall Township Seeks Donations For Hurricane Helene Victims
The town will begin accepting donations on Thursday at the South Wall Fire Department.

WALL, NJ — Wall Township is teaming up with Wall Police, the Wall Youth Center & Community Services and the Wall Community Alliance to send relief to those affected by Hurricane Helene.
The hurricane first made landfall in Florida toward the end of September and has since caused mass power outages, property damage and fatalities across affected areas.
As residents work through the damage caused by the hurricane, Wall is looking to send some relief to those affected.

From Thursday through Sunday, Wall is asking the public to help load a truck with donations for hurricane victims. The truck will be on-site at the South Wall Fire Department, and items will be driven down to North Carolina and passed out to those affected.
Donated items must be new and in their original packaging.

The most needed items are as follows:
- Cleaning Supplies: Windex, Simply Green, bleach, Hefty bags, rags, detergent, disinfectant wipes.
- Toiletries: Soap, shampoo, bath towels, wipes, deodorant, diapers, toothbrushes and toothpaste, first aid items, baby wipes.
- Non-Perishable Food Items: Water, formula, canned goods.
- Shelter Items: Blankets, sleeping bags.
- Paper Products: Paper plates, toilet paper, paper towels, diapers, wipes.
- Pet Supplies: Dog food, cat food.
- Miscellaneous: Tarps, gas cans, flashlights, batteries, generators, candles, 5-gallon buckets with lids, dehumidifiers, HEPA air filters.
Wall is also asking local businesses to donate packing supplies, 5-gallon buckets, or supplies in bulk.
Donations can be dropped off at the truck on Thursday and Friday from 4-7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The South Wall Fire Department is located at 2605 Atlantic Ave., Manasquan.
