2 Hour Delayed Opening For All Warren, Watchung Hills Schools

Snow fell early Tuesday morning creating some slippery conditions on roadways.

WARREN, NJ — All Warren Township Schools and Watchung Hills Regional High School will have a two-hour delayed opening on Tuesday due to inclement weather and poor road conditions.

Light to moderate snow spread across the area early Tuesday morning causing roads and sidewalks to become slippery, especially on bridges, overpasses, and untreated surfaces.

Here is a look at the upcoming forecast:

Tuesday: A chance of snow before 7 a.m. Cloudy through mid-morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 45. Breezy, with a northwest wind 5 to 10 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 28. Blustery, with a northwest wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 46. Breezy, with a north wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 29. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 48. North wind 10 to 15 mph.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 27.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 48.
