Bomb Threat Cleared At Watchung Walmart: Police
Police searched the Walmart at Watchung Square for about two and a half hours after someone called in a bomb threat on Monday afternoon.
WATCHUNG, NJ — A bomb threat at the Walmart in Watchung Square was not credible, police told Patch on Monday afternoon.
Watchung Police searched the store, at 1501 US-22, for about two and a half hours before clearing the scene around 3:45 p.m.
Lieutenant Scott Anderle told Patch the store got the call at 1:12 p.m. Police evacuated the store and determined the threat was "non-credible."

"The Watchung Police will continue to investigate the incident to the fullest extent possible," Anderle said.
The Walmart in East Brunswick was also evacuated for a bomb threat on Monday. Read more:
