County Park Tennis Courts Opening for Season

The Somerset County Park Commission announced Green Knoll and Colonial Park tennis courts will open for the season later this week.

The Green Knoll Tennis Center, 587 Garretson Road in Bridgewater, and the Colonial Park Tennis Center, at Mettlers Road in Somerset, will open on Saturday, April 4 for reserved and open play with a full schedule of tournaments for all ages and abilities. Green Knoll will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week.

Open play at Green Knoll is available dependent upon availability. According to Somerset County, weekday rates are $7 per hour until 5 p.m. and $8 per hours after 5 p.m. Weekend rates are $8 per hour all day.

Colonial Park courts are available for walk-on play free of charge during daylight hours, seven days a week.

Tennis lessons are available for children, ages seven and older, and adults. The cost for both children and adult lessons is $70 per session. Registration forms are available at Green Knoll Tennis Center and Colonial Park Tennis Center, or by calling Somerset County Park Commission at 908 722-1200.
