Delayed Opening For All Warren Township, Watchung Hills Schools

The delayed opening is due to the inclement weather forecasted and poor road conditions.

WARREN, NJ — All Warren Township Schools and Watchung Hills Regional High School will have a two-hour delayed opening on Tuesday, due to the inclement weather forecasted and poor road conditions.

AlphaBest before care is canceled. District officials will reassess conditions early in the morning. Any additional changes to the schedule will be communicated no later than 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

Watchung Hills Regional High School

The district will follow a Day 3 schedule with classes beginning at 9:30 a.m. Refer to the time schedule below:

The district will reassess conditions at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.

The most recent models show five to eight inches of wet snow possible in the interior portions of northeastern New Jersey, with the highest amounts falling north and west of I-287.

Upcoming forecast:

Monday night: Rain and sleet before 10 p.m., then rain, snow, and sleet between 10 p.m. and midnight, then rain after midnight. Low around 34. Northeast wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. Little or no snow and sleet accumulation expected.

Tuesday: A chance of rain before 1 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 41. Northeast wind 5 to 15 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
