Magaldo Moves to Saturday's State Wrestling Quarters

Watchung Hills star slams competition.

Watchung Hills' Mike Magaldo will compete in Saturday's NJSIAA state championship wrestling quarterfinals at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.

Magaldo (112 pounds) dropped Nutley's Robert Trombetta, 3-0, in pre-quarterfinals Friday after defeating Bound Brook's Robert Murray via pin in 3:40.

Matt Coppala (125 pounds) lost, 8-0, to St. Joseph's Darryl Albonico in the preliminary round.
