Pedestrian Hit By Car, Hospitalized At Supermarket Parking Lot In Somerset County

Multiple 911 calls reported a pedestrian was hit by a motor vehicle in the parking lot on Monday.

WARREN, NJ — A pedestrian was hit by a car and taken to the hospital at a supermarket parking lot in Warren Township.

On Monday at around 11:30 a.m., multiple 911 calls reported a pedestrian was hit by a motor vehicle in the parking lot near the entrance to ACME Markets at 177 Washington Valley Road.

The pedestrian, a 61-year-old woman, was taken to Morristown Medical Center for lower back, right arm, and left hip pain, said Warren Police Detective Sgt. Robert Dinsmore.

Patrol reported the vehicle, driven by a 76-year-old woman from Warren, was making a left turn in the parking lot when it hit the pedestrian walking to her vehicle.

No summonses were issued at this time.
