See How Warren Voted In Local, County, Congressional Races 2022

Here's a look at how people in Warren voted in the township committee, school board, Somerset County, and District 7 races.

WARREN, NJ — Election day has passed, and just taking a look at how Warren voted - the township definitely leans more to the red.

It's important to keep in mind these are the unofficial results for the 2022 general election and may not include absentee ballots, mail-in-votes, and early voting. Final certification of the results must be done by Nov. 26.

Despite that let's take a look at what has come in. For the hotly contested and close New Jersey District 7, Warren favored Republican Tom Kean Jr. with 3,474 total votes over Democratic incumbent Malinowski with 2,801 votes. Kean Jr. did win overall after Malinowski conceded on Wednesday, according to unofficial results.

On the county level, while Democratic candidates running for Somerset County Sheriff, Clerk and Commissioner won, according to unofficial results, Warren still favored the Republican candidates.

Incumbent Democrat Darrin Russo won overall for another term serving as Somerset County Sheriff. However, Warren favored Republican John Sheridan with 3,569 votes over Russo's 2,590.

The same goes for Somerset County Clerk, where incumbent Democrat Steve Peter won overall yet Warren favored Republican Suzanne Maeder with 3,542 votes over Peter's 2,600 votes.

The Board of County Commissioners also saw the same trend with incumbent Democrat Melanie Marano winning overall yet Warren favored Republican Amber Murad with 3,526 votes over Marano's 2,611 votes.

Locally, Republican Lisa Lontai won with 3,101 votes over Democrat Ashok Rakhit with 2,640 votes for the township committee, according to unofficial results by the Somerset County Clerk. Read More: Warren Committee, School Board Unofficial Election Results 2022

Scott Otto, Patricia Zohn, Natalie Feuchtbaum won over Stephen Toor, Eric Winch, Ned Bolcar, and Mark Bisci for the Warren Township school board race, according to unofficial results.

Otto had 2,132 votes, Zohn had 1,709 votes and Feuchtbaum had 1,608 votes over Toor with 1,007, Winch with 895, Bolcar with 1,141, and Bisci with 1,389.
