Somerset County Man Arrested at Somerset County Courthouse
A man was arrested for obstruction in a courtroom at the county courthouse.

A Somerset County man was arrested for obstruction after loud and disruptive behavior in front of a judge at the Somerset County Courthouse.
Nicholas Giberna, 56, of Basking Ridge, was arrested on Monday, March 16, by Somerset County Sheriff’s officers, according to the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office. Officers heard Giberna become argumentative with the plaintiff and her attorney, and was asked by his own attorney to step out of the courtroom. Sheriff’s Officer Samuel Tindle followed Giberna as he exited the courtroom.
Tindle advised Giberna to refrain from causing any more disturbances, for which he apologized, but soon after re-entering the courtroom, he again became argumentative with the plaintiff, the plaintiff’s attorney and the presiding judge, the sheriff’s office said. Tindle attempted to settle Giberna down, but Giberna ignored his instructions, ultimately becoming aggressive toward the officer and challenging him.
