SPARE US THE PLATITUDES AND CHANGE YOUR ATTITUDES

As of approximately 6:15 PM Eastern Time on this Saturday, July 13, 2024, the City of Butler in the greater Pittsburg region of west central Pennsylvania, will never be the same. It was at that moment in time, while speaking to a full house of attendees at a rally being held at the Butler Farm Show (a Butler County fairground), former President Donald Trump was struck on the right ear by a whizzing, nearly fatal bullet from a would-be assassin who was perched on a nearby roof top outside the secured area and about 130 yards away from the stage from which Donald Trump was addressing the crowd.

The good news is that -largely thanks to his quick acting Secret Service team and local emergency responders- Trump was shielded from further injury and whisked away to safety after boldly standing up, facing the crowd, and raising his fisted right hand in defiance and chanting out the words “Fight, fight, fight” to the cheering crowd. Sadly, at least one rally attendee was killed by the shooter and two others remain in critical condition. The shooter is also reportedly dead, presumably at this point as a result of return fire from a counter-sniper security detail, but all that is now part of the scene investigation, and so many facts and details remain to be officially determined.

In the meantime, a torrent of reactions to this heinous act are pouring in from around the country, all of which offer some variety of prayers, well wishes, condolences to the family of the deceased victim, and unilateral condemnation of all political violence of any kind. Among those who have offered statements decrying this senseless act and “ALL FORMS OF POLITICAL VIOLENCE” included President Joe Biden and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer. Schumer, as you may recall, is the spineless, anti-Israel, career politician who recently called upon the people of Israel to remove Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from Office for no valid reason and no authority to do so, and once threatened Supreme Court Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh over an abortion rights case in the High Court by saying, “I want to tell you Gorsuch, I want to tell you Kavanaugh, you have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.” Not sure what you make of all that, but those blatant acts of disrespect and intimidation do not impress me as conduct consistent in any way with the desire to discourage political violence.

While I do not wish to disparage any sincere expressions of concern or rare moments of bipartisan support for peace, law, and order, there is a very big, obvious, blue elephant in the room that simply cannot be ignored. For years the Democrat Party, led by its far-left wing of Trump-fearing and hating, anti-American, pro-terrorist, radical, racist malcontents, have constantly been launching harsh and unwarranted “GO-FOR-THE-THROAT” POLITICAL ATTACKS AGAINST DONALD TRUMP. Some of the highlights of those attacks include: As President, the Democratically-controlled House of Representatives IMPEACHED HIM TWICE WITHOUT CAUSE in 2019 and again in 2021 (he was acquitted in the Senate both times); when he questioned certain improprieties and the uncertified results of the 2020 Presidential election, - as a host of other Presidents and candidates for President, including Hillary Clinton, have done in the past in other such elections - they LABELED HIM AN INSURRECTIONIST (although never charged as one in any courtroom); on August 8, 2022, a small army of armed and dangerous FBI AGENTS NEEDLESSLY RAIDED TRUMP’S HOME in Florida at Mar-a-Lago, ostensibly searching for classified material specified in a warrant (even though Trump had Presidential privilege to access such documents); Biden’s weaponized DOJ has more recently joined the GET TRUMP MOVEMENT WITH A TOTAL OF 88 UNFOUNDED FELONY CHARGES (34 in NYC in which he has already been falsely convicted by a corrupt, highly comprised judge and rigged lynch-mob jury) with the indictments pending in Georgia, Florida, and Washington, DC; throughout the current Presidential campaign for the upcoming 2024 election, Biden and his team of political spinsters - backfilled by a cesspool of main stream media lies and misinformation - have consistently and without restraint characterized Donald Trump and his supporters as the “THE REAL THREAT TO AMERICAN DEMOCRACY”, spreading horribly irresponsible falsehoods such as TRUMP WILL BE A TYRANT, TRUMP WILL BE A DICTATOR, TRUMP WILL SEEK RETRIBUTION, TRUMP WILL TAKE AWAY SOCIAL SECURITY, TRUMP WILL TAKE AWAY HEALTH CARE, TRUMP WILL TAKE AWAY WOMEN’S RIGHTS TO ABORTION, TRUMP IS A RACIST, and whatever other unsubstantiated depictions of Donald Trump they could contrive to invoke fear and hatred in the minds and hearts of their base (people they have been known to refer to as their “useful idiots” - and it would seem, with good reason).

With that type of a build up to GET TRUMP- along with their inflammatory mantra that TRUMP MUST BE STOPPED AT ANY COST - it is not difficult to see how Biden and the shadow government that controls him, have inspired and propagated the TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME that has spread like wildfire among our less-informed and more-easily manipulated citizenry.

The point is - assuming the shadow government had no direct involvement in the failed attempt on Donald Trump’s life and it turns out to be no more than just a tragically crazed, far-left, attention-seeking, lone-wolf mental case pushed to the edge of homicidal insanity by the fear and hate mongering of the Biden regime and its Democratic Party power brokers - at the very least, THE ON-GOING BARRAGE OF POLITICAL ATTACKS ON DONALD TRUMP, IF NOT TO BE CONSIDERED A REAL FORM OF POLITICAL VIOLENCE IN THEMSELVES, HAVE CLEARLY SET THE STAGE FOR POLITICAL VIOLENCE TO OCCUR as it did earlier today in Butler, PA, and will likely occur again if the political power brokers and their spinsters do not PULL BACK FROM THE SHAMEFULLY IMMORAL, POISONOUS HATE MONGERING AND CHARACTER ASSASSINATIONS of their political adversaries.

In other words, spare us the platitudes and change your attitudes (just made that one up…I think I’ll use it as the heading for this commentary, which if you are reading this, you already know that).

In closing, while I have thanked God profusely for seeing fit to bring Donald Trump through this life-altering experience with what I pray is little physical harm (albeit a very close call - as Maxwell Smart, Agent 86 might say, “Missed me by THAT much!”), I would also like to convey my sincere condolences to the family of the person whose life was senselessly taken in the course of this dark day, hopefully to be followed by a brighter, enlightened tomorrow, that your loved one will not have died in vain. My God be with you.
