The Grinch Mobile Returns To Bring Christmas Joy Thanks To Warren Local

Warren native and Somerset resident Paul DeSesso has upgraded his Grinch Mobile with even more Christmas fun and even falling snow.

WARREN, NJ — It's become an annual tradition for Paul DeSesso and residents in the Somerset County area where locals wait all year for a chance to see The Grinch Mobile.

And this year, DeSesso said he has added even more Christmas decorations and even falling snow.

The Grinch Mobile is heading to the Bridgewater Promenade on Christmas Eve Saturday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. DeSesso says just look for the Christmas tree on top of the truck.

"People just love it and I have not had a bad experience yet," said DeSesso, a native of Warren and resident of Somerset. "People are super nice and always want to talk. You can have conversations with people you would've never talked to. It just makes people open up."

DeSesso had much success with his Halloween-themed Banned Wagon and got the idea of the Grinch Mobile in 2019 to expand the fun.

His Grinch Mobile suitably has multiple Grinch figures inside, green lights and he plays the soundtrack to the 1966 "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" on a sound system he has installed on the roof rack.

This year DeSesso added more Christmas decorations with a Santa and Mrs. Claus figures, a cargo holder in the back with presents and Whoville decorations, and now his snow machine.

"My neighbor suggested the snow machine and I thought I can't not do it now!" said DeSesso. "It is an ever-evolving sort of thing. I stare at the truck and think about how can I make this better or more interesting."

Now two years later, DeSesso just wants to continue to spread holiday joy.

"I can't stop now, people expect it," said DeSesso.
