Warren Students Evacuated Due To Natural Gas Odor
School buses helped to shelter students throughout the evacuation during the "pouring rain storm" on Tuesday, said Superintendent Mingle.

WARREN, NJ — Students at Central Elementary School in Warren Township were evacuated due to an odor of natural gas in the building on Tuesday, said Superintendent Dr. Matthew Mingle.
The evacuation occurred during the "middle of the pouring rain storm," said Mingle.
Mingle added that the district was able to coordinate with school buses to get students out of the rain and into the shelter while they waited.

Warren Police, Office of Emergency Management, and other first responders came out to the scene and students were allowed back in the building about 25 minutes later, said Mingle.
Mingle thanked the efforts of Principal Alison Tugya, school administrators and local first responders.
