'Inflammatory' Accusations About Warren Teachers And Sex Ed Denounced By Superintendent
The letter asserts Warren teachers are being forced to discuss gender fluidity and anal sex with young students, said Superintendent Mingle.
WARREN, NJ — A letter making "inflammatory" assertions about Warren teachers and the school district is being denounced by Superintendent Matthew Mingle.
Mingle addressed the letter, which he said was sent to township registered voters, during the Oct. 3 Board of Education meeting.
The letter asserts that the Warren Township teachers are being forced to discuss inappropriate topics with students including gender fluidity in kindergarten and anal sex to grammar school students, said Mingle.

"I have no desire to be in the middle of any partisan attacks however I wouldn’t be fulfilling my duty as the Warren Township school district superintendent if I didn't address the false statements that are in that letter," said Mingle. "Neither the state standards, nor the proposed local curriculum that failed, nor the enacted local curriculum that is in place right now, address gender fluidity with kindergarteners or anal sex with grammar school students."
The Warren School Board failed to pass the state's controversial updated health and sex education curriculum at its Aug. 29 meeting. Mingle went on to call on Board of Education members, other elected officials, and those running for public office to help "bring down the tone of inflammatory statements that placed the school district in the middle of these kinds of political disputes."
"Reasonable people can and should disagree on important matters like what students learn in schools, especially in public schools in our democracy," said Mingle. "We should be demonstrating a way to do that with a high level of professionalism and factual information."
