New Mexican Cocina Opening Off Route 22 In Somerset County

Ember Agave will be replacing Pacha Mama, which opened last year in the same location.

GREEN BROOK, NJ — Ember Agave, a new Mexican Cocina, is coming to Somerset County.

The restaurant is opening at 215 Route 22 in Green Brook.

"Where music moves your soul, tacos touch your heart, and every dish is an experience that brings people together. We're not just opening a restaurant – we're creating a place where nights turn into stories and strangers become friends," according to Ember Agave's Instagram page.

The restaurant has been busy remodeling the restaurant with bookcases and a new DJ booth.

Ember Agave will be replacing PachaMama, which opened in February 2024 and closed over the summer.

The location has seen several restaurants over the years, including Tacos El Tio, which closed in 2023, and Bonefish Grill, which closed in 2020.

While Ember Agave's Instagram page states the restaurant will open in Fall 2025, it is unclear on an exact date.
